Careers Perspective Day

Dear Critical Urbanisms students and members of the department, We are pleased to invite you to the second part of the Critical Urbanisms Career Perspectives Day 2026, taking place on Friday, 18 September, from 13:30 to 16:00, in the Grosser Hörsaal E016 (entrance via Hebelstrasse 3). The afternoon will bring together five Critical Urbanisms alumni: Cristina de Lucas, Florence Hodel, Isabella Pamplona Pardo, Maev Yersin, and Sabrina Boss. They will share their professional journeys and experiences since graduating. Through two panel conversations, we will discuss the diverse paths that can follow the programme and reflect on the opportunities and challenges involved in building a career across different fields and contexts. Each panel will be followed by an open discussion with the audience. An apéro in the courtyard will follow the event, and everyone is warmly invited to join us. Please find the event poster attached. We would be delighted to welcome students, colleagues, and other members of the department for an afternoon of conversation and exchange. Best wishes, Diogo Faria & Yassine Rachidi PhD candidates in the Dept. of Urban Studies | University of Basel
